Grilled Artichoke with Roasted Garlic Mayonnaise

Fruits and Vegetables
  • 1 head garlic

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon worchestershire sauce

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • salt

  • pepper

  • ⅓ cup olive oil

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • artichokes

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Slice top off of garlic head. Drizzle with oil. Bake in 350° oven for 30 minutes. Cool. Squeeze garlic from head and mash with fork.
Fill large bowl with water. Add 2 tablespoons lemon juice.
Prepare artichokes by cutting off top leaves and peeling back lower leaves, quarter and place in lemon water.
Steam artichokes until tender, about 30 minutes. Cool. Remove center purple leaves.
Prepare BBQ -- med-high heat.
Stir ⅓ cup olive oil and minced garlic clove to blend. Brush garlic oil over artichokes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Grill until slightly charred, about 8 minutes.
