Fried Wonton
Appetizers
1 package wonton skins
1 egg white
oil for frying
1 lb. ground pork
1 small onion (finely chopped)
⅛ teaspoon 5-spice powder
½ tsp. sesame oil
¼ teaspoon MSG
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon sugar
1 egg yolk (save the white)
½ lb. shrimp (finely chopped)
1 teaspoon cornstarch
dash pepper
Heat oil in deep-fryer to 350°.
Mix filling ingredients together in a blender. Put one teaspoon of filling into center of wonton wrapper. Fold and seal with egg white. Deep fry at 350° until light brown. Drain on paper towel.
