Cucumber Raita

Side Dishes
  • 2 cups plain yogurt (european or greek)

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • ½ cup peeled, seeded and grated cucumber, drained

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh mint

  • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin

Serves 4 - 6
Place all ingredients in a bowl. It may be easier to warm the honey, as it is easier to blend with the other ingredients. Make sur the cucumber is well drained, otherwise your raita will be too watery. Mix well, and add to serving bowl.
Sprinkle cumin over the top.
Serve on top or on the side of your favorite Indian dish, or serve as a dipping sauce with naan bread.
